House rules

Weather and emergencies

If travel is unsafe, we will delay or move the appointment. Safety comes first. We will call or text as soon as we can.

Severe weather

We may delay or reschedule for thunderstorms, a tornado warning, hail, flooding, icy roads, or extreme heat or cold. If we reschedule because of severe weather, there is no cancellation fee.

A tornado, flood, severe storm, or flash flood during the appointment window means we postpone. Tell us early if your area is under a warning.

Extreme heat or a freeze

We may shorten, change, or reschedule the visit. If the indoor conditions are unsafe, for example no air conditioning in extreme heat, we may change the work or move the appointment.

Power or water out

If the power or water is out, we may not be able to finish. We will reschedule or change the scope. If the home is not suitable because the utilities are off, the same-day rule in booking and cancellation may apply.

Your emergency

Illness and family emergencies are handled with care. Contact us as soon as you can. Notice follows the booking policy. An emergency is not the $40 last-minute fee.
